SUMMER! Life Figure Drawing – Painting
Wednesdays, 7:30pm – 10:30 pm, beginning May 26
$12 per session or $40 for 5 consecutive sessions
Kristina Havens moderates our open studio sessions with the live model.
Agenda:
The group generally starts with about half an hour of warm-up drawings (2-minute gesture poses and a five or ten minute pose), followed by a single long pose that lasts for the remainder of the evening. Model breaks take place every 25 minutes.
Things to bring:
Please bring your own portable easel. (Beginning in mid-June, 8 easels will be available for first-come first-served attendees.) Bring your own drawing board, drawing paper and tools. If you want to paint, please use odorless mineral spirits bought from an art store (hardware store brands are not really odorless). Those using pastels may want to bring a large towel to lay on the floor to catch dropped pastels so they are easier-found and less likely to shatter.
Many people bring wine and snacks to share. Music will be played – hopefully for your enjoyment.
To reserve your spot and confirm the model schedule, contact Katrina, 770-591-9542 or e-mail 81artist@comcast.net for more information.
