The bee is
among the garden's hardest workers. Its most obvious product
is its honey. Yet the bee plays a much more essential part in
our lives: many of our crops would not bear fruit, were it not
for the bee's work as a pollinator. In Christian tradition,
the bee is a symbol of industriousness, the epitome of the tireless
laborer.
Each of
us has our work in the world. Doing the work for which we
are intended brings us money, health, a happy family life,
or social standing; but most importantly, it brings us the
happiness that comes with finding our place in Creation. Work
is food for the spirit. The soul cannot be truly healthy without
it.
Work
is love made visible.

Gibran, The Prophet
